Title: Soldano supercharger gto
Post by: night-B on May 18, 2012, 10:28:08 AM
Hi all!
I've just seen that ampclones.com now sell some pcbs for a supercharger gto.
The board is pricey and I don't know what type and price range it will be for the transformer...
What do you guys think about it? There's not that much info on forums for this beast.

A friend of mine owns an original, and the sound you get totally depends on the amp you're using. There are some cool sounds in there, but in my opinion, it's too big, bulky and one-dimensional to give a permanent place on any pedal board. I think you'd be better off getting a high-gain amp (Soldano, or maybe an Engl, really like those!), as you can get a wider range of sounds with those by playing with the volume control on your guitar.
