Cool thanks for the response CJ. Its good to know there are options out there when I decide to swap through some op-amps. I'll probably hold off for a while to see if the rat loses its charm. Plus I'm all out if dip8 sockets and I'm not sure if the sip strips I have will fit as they have been too large for any board I have tried them on.


Seeing as i dont have a looper the re-amping idea is awesome Rej.

That's the thread. Comparing old and new rats.

This is my first rat and probably will be my only production one. It was one of those rare deals where it was vastly cheaper to buy instead of build. The slow loris is definitely on my to do list now that I know how much I like the sound of the rat.

The screamer lab sounds like a great idea man. Definitely interested in the results.

I just picked up a Rat 2 from a high school friend. It has the op07cp chip and so far I like it alot but I was wondering if swapping that for the lm308n would really make it that much better.

Is he really going to be in a spin off series (The Governer). I've nearly finished series 4, and I thought he was going to be a changed man and that, and then he went back to his old ways! So far, I've really enjoyed season 4.

Also, the last series of Sons Of Anarchy is about to start, one of the best shows I've ever seen!

I don't think they are going to do a governor spin off. The companion show as they are calling it is supposed to take place outside of Georgia. So who knows could be in another state could be another country but same zombie infested universe.

All The Walking Dead again, ready for season 5! And about to start the new season of Suits.

Its about time. I have been ready since season 4 ended. Apparently AMC has ordered a pilot for another show set in the walking dead universe. Should be interesting.

The new show will probably be about the governor. That's what his spin off graphic novel was. The new season of walking dead will be either a revival or a coffin nail for me. I read the GNs years ago and I'm not thrilled with the direction Kirkman went in. But to each their own.

Yeah it is. The original movie that predates the show is even worse. Lol
Then there is The Drunk and on Drugs Happy Funtime Hour. That's a whole other world of craziness.

Just started watching season 1 of Trailerpark Boys, after years of people telling me I needed to check it out.

Also about 5 episodes in to True Detective. Got the wife watching it.

Trailer Park Boys is great if you enjoy stoner comedy. I'm watching the new season right now.
