Hey all:

I recently built this Big Cheese clone on perfboard and it appears to be busted. Getting no signal when trying to test. Still very much a beginner, so wondering if I may have accidentally fried some of the components – maybe the single opamps? If anyone has insight into trouble spots I can start looking at to test, I'd really appreciate it. Attaching the schematic here.

Thanks!
George

Hi George  ;D

First thing that sticks out to me. Did you use BC549C or 2N3904 for the transistors? Keep in mind that these have different pinouts.

Cool. Thanks for the reply. Will definitely double-check the pinout.

What about the rest of the components? Any chance I could have fried the single opamps with faulty soldering?

Thanks,
George

Anything is possible. Can't tell that without getting some voltage measurements on the components.

FYI... originals used BC549C transistors if you are looking for an original sound.
