The newest version of the Cirrus Overdrive from Aion covers two sought-after screamers:  the ST-9 and STL.

Depends on how much current that circuit can provide. You might be able to run a vintage fuzz off it, but I doubt it will be able to handle a Berezny Deluxe Modulay Process Station (with expression jack!)

Here are some online quotes from the first reboot of Ross pedals, back in 2018. It hardly sounds to me like people were demanding new Ross pedals:
"The Ross Compressor is basically an MXR Dynacomp and the Ross Distortion is pretty much an MXR Distortion+.
If they truly are just reissues, there's not gonna be a lot to look at.
FWIW, I like Ross pedals. I just don't see any reason to buy a reissue. Nice that they're doing it though and I wish them well."

"These guys chose the wrong time to re-enter the market. I predict hardly anyone will buy these and by next year there will be no more Ross re-boot.Especially at their asking prices."

Again, those were all from almost five years ago. Right now there is a Ross Audibles original reissue Distortion that has been sitting on Reverb for 4 months, at only $99. And the JHS versions aren't nearly as nice as those original reissues. Why did the original reissues fail? "Due to multiple production obstacles" (read, too expensive to produce with not enough demand to justify it). How do they expect the new ones to sell at $189? (read, way cheaper production cost with heavy marketing to drum up demand) Notice how JHS was very careful not to put "made in USA" anywhere on the new ones?

Apparently Bud's grandson already tried to relaunch Ross pedals as "Ross Audibles", which has already led me to some great confusion. Isn't there an old saying that you shouldn't open a restaurant in the same location that another one just failed? Anyway, I guess since nobody wanted the first reissues of Ross pedals, the absolute best option was to make a cheaper quality, more expensive third coming?

I'm not sure, but I believe the Sunn Beta amps were always Class D mosfet-based. In fact, I think they were the very first MOSFET guitar amps. One thing for sure, the Beta's were completely solid state. There were never any tubes in them.
The main thing that I still find surprising is there is no hype about this relaunch. If this were a boutique tubescreamer done by some obscure builder in an unknown country, Reverb would be all over it and there would already be 40 demo videos on YouTube with sold-out limited colorway editions. Sunn coming back so far has been as exciting as a new dentist's office opening downtown.

Definitely not paying $3200 for that level of construction.

Hopefully those are MSRP prices, which are always pretty ridiculous. The only amp I can see generating a lot of interest in this reboot is the Beta Lead, since those do have a cult following and used ones typically can sell for more than this new asking price. The 100S and 200S are in the "are you joking?" price range.

I do see an issue with their pricing though. I've seen pristine original examples of Sunn amps selling for much less than what they're asking on the website. Do they really think people are going to want to pay that much for a reissue, when they can have a fully-functional original for less?

I think there will actually be a lot of confusion with a newer generation. For the last 20+ years, the Sunn logo has only been used by the band and some distortion pedals.

Yes, Fender still owns Sunn. I guess they figured it was time reboot yet another old thing, since pretty much everything these days is a reboot of something that came before.

I wonder what this is going to mean for the band, and the Earthquaker life pedals, which have been plastering Sunn's registered trademark on their stuff? I wouldn't want to take on Fender's legal team...

Excellent, clean builds. And it's great to be able to A/B them both to get a definitive sound comparison! I think the OD-1 has quickly become the new Klon and/or Tubescreamer. It's the overdrive everybody is talking about, building, and tweaking.
Personally the two mods I feel really take the 2nd version OD-1 to the next level are changing the value of R6 (4.7k) to a smaller value around 2.7k - 3.3k, to get more distortion. This would be good to put on a mini toggle. The other odd mod I've found is to change the connection point of D6 and D5, where they connect to pin 6 of the 4558. If you put that connection on a toggle so it can be lifted and connected to anywhere on the plane that R4, C3, R9 connects to, you get a volume boost and a more "refined, amp-like" clipping characteristic. It's hard to describe, but it definitely changes the feel of the overdrive. I found the easiest connection point for that mod is off the Level control wires, where the wire is labeled 15 on the schematic. To me it makes the pedal sound more like a Tweed Deluxe amp going into breakup, think Mike Campbell-type tones.

Glad you got it sorted out. Grounding issues in guitars are bizarre and fraught with gremlins that don't follow the "rules".

To get a better idea of what you're dealing with, is this pretty much the guitar you have? (I realize there are several color options).

If it is, then the pickguard really has no bearing on grounding or shielding, so that's irrelevant, and the control cavity doesn't have the typical telecaster metal panel that the pots and switch are mounted to. I'm guessing the wiring/grounding is more like a Les Paul than a typical Tele. That changes things, and is a key piece to know before moving forward.
