Hi,
I have made a CE-2 clone on the Tonepad layout.
Since i had a set of unused MN3207 and MN3102 I put them in here.
I made some changes for powering the MN3207 and worked great.

I also like the looks of Toneczar pedals so that was my inspiration for this one.

Other mods I did was:
- Wet level pot
- Vibrato switch
- Intensatie switch (ads a 100pf in parrallel with the 47pf cap add the MN3102)
- Deep switch (changes the 0.1uf in the LFO section to a 0.068uf)
- expression pedal input for the Speed pot, (haven't tried this one out still)

Here are the results. (The guts are a little messy, a lot of wiring)

I love it.  The colour scheme is great.  Could I ask what size enclosure you used?

RonaldB

Thanks.
I believe they call it a 1590C.

Yeah, it looks like a 1590C, you can get something similar from Mammoth, it's their 1590BB "Tall" enclosures.

I bought 3 of them by mistake. :)

I'll happily take one off your hands if your selling?  I'm in the UK though so postage costa might make it a bit pointless.  PM me though if you think you can make it worthwhile.

Back on topic:  How easy/hard was the build?  Where'd you find the mods?

RonaldB

The Build wasn't that hard for me.
The Intense mod and the vibrato mod are on the tonepad document,
and i found the deep mod (cap change in the LFO) in a mod book from Brain Wampler.

To change the layout to the MN3207 was a little difficult.
I will draw a schematic how I did this.

By the way, I know that the MN3207 can run on a max voltage of 10V but I did a test yesterday
where I fed 12V in the circuit and still got great chorus. Anybody knows why?
Just asking if anyone has had this to?

brokenwings

you've forgot the lfo LED indicator MOD. ;)

RonaldB

Thought of doing that but ended up not needing it. ;)

Did you actually order one of the Tonepad PCBs for this? I've got my eye on their Small Clone board but haven't dealt with them before. Anyway, this looks really cool!

RonaldB

Now a friend here in my home town etched this one for me.
Good luck with the small clone.
