The division bell, a fine pink Floyd album

I think the intro to coming back to life might be my all time favorite Gilmour solo.

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese in the trap.

That Earth track is AMAZING.

I might have to go to Amazon to find a copy of the album though.

A fulla on nzguitars posted this awhile ago. It's not guitar, but I really, really like it. Ambient taste to it, so don't listen to it when you're hyper :)

Haven't listened to it yet but up next, once everyone has vacated the listening room, the new Iggy Pop & the Stooges on vinyl, first new release on vinyl i've bought since the early 90's, comes with the full album on mp3 so i can go mobile.

Also picked up the new Queens on the Stoneage and Steve Earle's latest although those are on the lowly cd format.

Do people still buy music?

Hm, is he a major Church of Tone user?
I am not able to listen to the clip now and verify but I think that's him, a fantastic player for sure!

If you like hard rock, heavy metal, anything like that, and you've never heard this track... you will be kicking yourself for not hearing it years ago. I might have linked it earlier, but it bears repeating.

Just one tip -- do NOT look up live versions. Anselmo's voice does not do the clean-shriek-clean thing in this song quite so good anymore.

This guy was interviewed on "Q" his morning playing live throughout the show, absolutely  knocked my socks off! Sings like Stevie Marriot/Paul Rodgers and slays the guitar, a good kick in the gut. Gives me chills...

Hi Jacob,

I was always more a 102.1 listener until they put a true dickhead on the morning and that was pretty much the end of commercial radio for me. This "Q" is the one on CBC so you i'm sure you can get it in your area as well. Pretty sure it'll be out as a podcast soon and will be going up on their youtube channel.

Seriously! I'll have to watch for him around here.

I liked 102.1 when I was a teen (late 90's). Then I moved west. Best radio station I've ever listened to faitfully was the X92.9 in Calgary. My favorite feature - they had a 'no nickleback' policy. That's sort of a big deal in Alberta. Not that I think all Nickleback is terrible, but that it's way, way, WAY overplayed out in Western Canada.

The X always had a DJ you could talk to as well. I don't know how many times I had a 20 minute drive ahead of me, and I could call in and chat for 5 of it about 90's alternative music (best ever) with the guys there who lived, breathed and loved music.

Don't know if it's still the same, but my other T Dot friends who also lived in Calgary at the same time agreed, The Edge and Q107 were awesome in the 90's, but the X was way better.

I hear a bit of very very raw young uninhibited Colin James in there... must be the lay of the land.
