April 30, 2015, 01:37:20 AM
Lol.....I lost my friggin green bean PCB. Actually I shouldn't have loled that as I'm kind of gagged. We moved a few weeks ago and I can't find it anywhere in my pedal stuff......oh well one more day of looking and if I don't find it I'll be buying another. The first one I built kind of got "claimed" by my stepson he loves it now I gotta build my own........again

That all sounds really awesome Brian.  I would like to thank you for having this forum and the projects you offer. ...they are second to none. I have always enjoyed electronic devices and building my own pedals is one of the most satisfying hobbies I have. Thanks again.

If you're powering it with a regulated 9V supply all the time, you can drop the voltage with some LEDs and diodes instead of using the regulator.

Wish I would have known this when I fried my one and only regulator I had a while back (instead of waiting 3 weeks for some to come in)......awesome thinking man

Be careful how many times you solder and desolder those pads......with enough heat they will lift

Nice goldtop man. I know what you mean about different pickups sounding better......I replaced the stock p90 neck position one in my 60s tribute goldtop with a Seymour Duncan antiquity 2 mini humbucker......it makes the p90 sound like crap. Now I just gotta fork out the 120 bucks for the matching bridge one.

Thanks guys.....totally forgot I need a brick to build a reverb so I guess it'll be something else until I get one

Hi guys.....I want to try my hand at stripboard.  Anyone know of any low part count reverb layouts to follow?

Yep.

The Testing Rig PCB could easily be incorporated into this sort of a setup easily. This would provide you with on board signal and headphone amp, which is usually helpful while prototyping late at night like I usually do. The benefit of course would be that you can also use it for testing finished PCBs, and then troubleshooting them with an audio probe.

However, I like having two separate setups. I prefer to use my testing rig with probe separate. You can use a simple wire to probe a circuit that's on your breadboard, and in fact, the output connection to the junction box functions just this way.

Right on man. Thanks
