Title: Nameless Flanger
Post by: Jules on April 04, 2016, 02:04:04 AM
Alan's Nameless Flanger in a purple Hammond box as tribute to the Lovetone original.
I haven't applied decals yet, I was to keen to finish it!
I put the indicator LEDs in backwards but after I fixed that it works great, a lot of bizarre sounds in here!
Thanks Alan

I have to agree with Cody "that was quick."  Great job. I am on vacation and looking forward to getting home, putting this together and hopefully have a working pedal when done.

That was damn quick! Any problems, either mechanically (it's a tight squeeze), or electrically?

I am very pleased to say there were no problems.
I did measure all my bags of resistors to make sure there values was correct.
I didn't pay attention to the silkscreen and put mi indicator LEDs in the wrong way but easy fixed. It wasn't even as hard as I thought to setup with the trimpots, easier than the ADA.
There is a lot of off board wiring, but if you be careful with what you're doing it should turn out fine.
I used square green LEDs for the vactrols and coloured in the sides like Madbean does on the 1590g wigl vibe.
I was up very late last night finishing up.
Thanks

That was super quick.  Looks great, also.

Will the Tayda LDR's work for this build?

The datasheet for the Tayda LDR's say 500k dark resistance. You need 20Meg.

Depth would be pretty poor in all regards if you tried them, I suspect. I haven't tried Tayda LDR's in this build, myself.

I used the Small Bear 9203 type CDS photo cells, they are a bit tough to find 20k - 20meg.
