It will be a few days more before hand-made boards are ready to ship again. It's taking me a lot longer to get the new machine set-up, but I am making steady progress. I expect to have ordering back for them at the end of this week.
The Sabertooth briefly appeared to be out of stock, but I adjusted the inventory numbers so it is available for order---I had less put in than I actually had on-hand. Usually, I do the opposite!
The order for new manufactured boards has been placed. The following will be available in two weeks:
Chunk Chunk
Glitterrattii
Karate Shop (FKA Slap Chop)
King of Klones
Poindexter
Snarkdoodle
Yellow Shark
This will also include the re-order of Zombii boards and more Road Rages (which are almost gone). All the new boards (but not the RR and zombii) will be in RED because...what the hell.
I should have the new projects out at the end of this week. These are the possible releases, but I don't know for sure, yet.
Boneyard : CM Plexitone
Gearhead: Screwdriver
Pig Butt: Op-Amp Muff
Sparkplug: This is a mash-up of a ZenDrive and BluesBreaker with a clean blend.
Egghead: Clark Gainster
LaVache: Les Lius
Weener Wah
Maybe a boost based on a Silvertone amp.
I might make a few boards available for the Vibrating Stump (Vibrostomp) layout I did on FSB --- probably only 5 or so.
--- I've also started some work on the Stage Fright Phaser, King Kong/ Velcro Vibe (I don't know what to name it) and Moodring reverb.
damnit 'bean. I have a muff-ish fuzz i was going to name the Sparkplug.
just kidding about being mad.
how's that machine running?
Super excited dude!! Thanks a lot for all your work so far! U da man! haha
Any chance you will throw in that list the Lowrider project? :)
Is it possible to be one of the lucky owner of a vibrostomp board? +1 for the lowrider ;D
Sweet!
Any special parts needed for the Boneyard other than the 14 pin ics? Do you know the value of the pots yet?
I can't wait for the univibe! FWIW, I like King Kong name better than Velcro. :)
The sparkplug sparks my interest..
My vote is for King Kong as well ;D
I don't have a particular board in mind as I want most of them but it would cool that have a poll for up coming possibilities.
Can't wait for the Boneyard!!!
Does the Double Flush fall under the hand-made board category? I have parts coming tomorrow for that project and just wondering what your estimated availability is for that board. Thanks.
And thanks for providing these amazing products.
Really looking forward to the Velcro Vibe - also LaVache, Gearhead. Thanks Brian! I appreciate all the cool stuff you do

Yep, the DF is hand-made. It will be back with all the others in a few days. I'm not giving an exact day because it depends on how well I get the new CNC working and how fast I can start cranking stuff out on it. But, before the week is out, one way or another.
Excited for your phaser board and a solid sounding vibe project ;D
Patiently waiting for Chunk Chunk ;D Is the Bloviator out of stock now?

Excellent! Thanks for the reply.
No love for the Mysterioso Jr? ;)
put me down for a weener and a pigbutt
;D ;D ;D
wait, what?

It may be upgraded to the two channel version. I came up with a wicked layout for it that fits in a 1590B. I'm just waiting on the prototype to see how it works out.
So keen for a Boneyard and LaVache! exciting..
One more note: the Pork Barrel is about to go out of stock, but I managed to add in another order for these, so they will be fully restocked with this next batch.
Boneyard : CM Plexitone
Gearhead: Screwdriver
Pig Butt: Op-Amp Muff
Sparkplug: This is a mash-up of a ZenDrive and BluesBreaker with a clean blend.
Egghead: Clark Gainster
LaVache: Les Lius
Weener Wah
those are the ones i will probably build :)
Hey Brian,
How are you?
What is the story on the new version of the Yellow Shark? Just a different lay out or are there some changes?
Looking forward to the Gearhead, Boneyard and the Silvertone boost. The Sparkplug sounds interesting also.

New version is fabbed-- double sided, solder mask etc. No circuit changes.
Definitely keen on the phaser and the vibrato, is it perhaps similar to the voodoo magna vibe?...

Awesome. Been looking forward to this one and a Sr. model is even better!
Brian, I don't recall if the CM Plexi and AC-Tone are built on the same PCB, but if they are, will it be possible to build either on the Boneyard board?
based on sound alone, my vote goes for Gearhead, La Vache, and Weener Wah
I second the voting poll idea. I am definetly interested in at least half of the new ones you are working on. We could maybe have a vote to see which ones you should invest energy into first.....hahaha. Let us know if sending you a PM with an order will help you make up your mind about the "possible releases"
Love the boards! ;D
My decision to release a project at a particular time usually depends on a couple of factors, not least of which is what I can get done by a certain date. Some of the ones listed are finished and simply need to be documented, and some are designed but not yet verified. Of course, having a poll could mean changing things up and delaying the releases altogether since I tend to release projects in groups rather than one at a time. So, I'm not sure how to integrate a voting system into this yet. But, I'm not against the idea either. It could mean getting the projects people want into their hands more quickly.
Sorry buddy, I wasn't trying to make even more work for you hahah I know you're a busy guy.
I will take :
Sparkplug: This is a mash-up of a ZenDrive and BluesBreaker with a clean blend.
Egghead: Clark Gainster
LaVache: Les Lius
and a phaser, vibe
No rush dude, do what ya need to do.
Scott
I'm expecting the sparkplug to be something similar to that ecstacy pedal?
I didn't see teh lavache the first time. That sounds like such a good idea!
Definitely a gearhead and a vibe for me :D, Thanks!
Well Brian you can count on orders from me as soon as you release these guys!
Ditto. I'm definitely getting a Gearhead and Sparkplug. Can't WAIT for the reverb and vibe, though!
I would vote for the CM Plexitone and LaVache.
I noticed that even if the daytripper is not anymore in the upcoming projects, you have etched a beautiful enclosure for this one :)
No it's happening. Just not with the batch that's about to get released. I'll have it in the following batch.
Ok! Beatiful etching BTW ;)
Looking forward to the daytripper.
Just built a mysterioso jr on vero from a FSB layout (based on 'beans schem).
HOLY SHITE! This is an fantastic pedal. It makes my clean channel sound almost exactly like the crunch channel (albeit slightly compressed). No fizz at all.
I'm REALLY looking forward to the fabbed board!
Hope the boneyard ends my search for the perfect plexi circuit.... or at least delays it. The versatility of the gearhead will be sweet as well and like nothing I currently own..
Can't wait!
Brian I'm curious if the phaser you're working on is mxr-ish or if it's more Ross-esque. And how many stages? thanks
It's is based off the Maestro Phaser. Currently, it's going to be eight stages.
Oh yeah, I can't believe I forgot that. You still going for the stage phaser?
The stage phaser is going to be too complicated it seems. The main difference between the two is that the SP has the little turn knob thing and it has an auto ramp down when you bypass. The knob is just two different speed settings and the third position is manual. So, that's no big deal...you can still get all the same range with just one knob.
It's the ramp down thing that's going to make it impractical, I think. Although it's really cool, I'm concerned about making the build too complicated for some customers. On the plus side, I have borrowed a couple of other features and integrated them into the regular phaser, and it has more stages, as well. The original was 5 stages, IIRC.
I'm going to see about making those switchable too, so you can select how many stages you want to use.
this phaser project is what i'm super excited for!

sounds very cool
I've got a few njm13700's here reserved for this project, so I hope I'm on the right track. 8)
I can't wait for the Weener Wah, Screwdriver and LaVache...! Any hint on when the docs might drop as I'm keen on starting to order parts....?!
Also looking forward to vibe, reverb and phaser...
Cheers ;)
I'm also still very pumped about the Pearl Octaver project I saw you post on DIYSB a while back, madbean. :D
All of this stuff is still going on. I haven't had any time in the past two weeks to finish up projects, unfortunately. I think by next week I should be able to start getting some of the stuff out.
Are you married Brian. If you. Ae I don't know how can you get anything done
Ha ha, yes I'm married and I have an almost 5 year old daughter. I don't know either....
At least I'm not getting up at 4am or working seven days a week right now. I did that for the first three months this year :'(
i'm working 6 days a week, around 50-60hrs per week :)
have a month old daughter, hehe.

Man though, Dirk Hendrik beat out our your Dirtbag Delay in terms of DMM shrinkage, though. :(

im in awe. :o
That DMM is quite a feat! But in no way is that an easy DIY. I''d still be interested in Brian's Dirtbag delay as I'm sure it will be much more DIY friendly for the masses. I don't care if it needs a large enclosure for hole through components either ;)
Shrinkage... made me think of an old Seinfield episode

You are quite right! And I totally remember that episode. :D
I was at the poooool!!
:D
Dirk's build is totally amazing, but it's also all SMD. The Dirtbag will be all through hole in a 1590BB. Man, I really want to finish it....I have at least 10 projects in some form of completion right now.
Yea that is crazy his build is all SMD. It would be cool to see his gutshots. And I can't wait to see your dirtbag delay I've heard so much discussion about now!

No worries, I am a patient man. :D
Plus I'd be all over yours, through hole would be much more DIY friendly, as said before. a 1590BB shrink is no small feat for the DMM design, either. :D
Hey Brian,
I may have missed it, but is the Egghead/Gainster still slated for production? That's one nice, meaty OD.
I never got around to releasing that, but I can. I honestly kinda forgot about it! I'll get the document drawn up when time allows.
