With some green waterclears i have, 47k for a 9v supply.

I've a random mess of leds, many colours, clear/diffused, 3mm/5mm/10mm and from every supplier i've ever dealt with. Tailor the clr to each individual led, waterclears are run well, well under 1ma and are bright enough for my use. Then there's some weak kneed diffuse that are barely there with a 470Ω clr. Prefer the clears but use whatever i deem appropriate.

Made this from parts that were on hand to establish a clr value, 510Ω->18k2.

This is a great idea! Have to build one of these too. :)

Here's a thread I just read yesterday: http://www.freestompboxes.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=1392

I'd try the rail decoupling: it's only couple components and very easy.  :)

As far as grounding both jacks, it certainly doesn't hurt to do it, and you have to do it when/if you go to plastic jacks, so it's not a bad habit to get into.

I do this just so that I can test the pedal before boxing it. I usually assemble them to piece of cardboard or something.

Really great looking boxes!

Theremin seems very cool. I request a demo too. :) Is it your own design or can it be found somewhere?

Thanks all! Actually these are not my first builds, just first builds from the Madbean -catalog. Done couple pedal builds from GGG previously and worked as a amp tech, so soldering and all is familiar.  :)

Thanks a lot! Next project is going to be some kind of dual overdrive/distortion. I've been thinking about Kingslayer and Sparkplug or Cherrybomb in one enclosure.

Build Reports / First two Madbean -builds
January 30, 2015, 11:06:04 AM
Hey!

Got my first two Madbean -builds ready.

Smoothie:

Basic build, nothing special here. First time I ever used decal. Turned out pretty good.

Zero Point Mini with little bit of modifications:

Added footswitch for ring and a potentiometer to modify the feedback resistor. It can go from very neutral delay to oscillating weirdness. You can also plug in a expression pedal to control the feedback, haven't tried that out yet. This one is built to a EHX Enigma Q-balls -enclosure, first time ever there was plenty of room inside..

No gutshots, these didn't turn out so pretty.
