I'm working on a couple of Ping Reverb builds - or I should say that I'm planning to work on a couple. The right-angle 9mm 100kB dual-gang pots seem a little hard to get right now what with Small Bear being temporarily closed. I was thinking about just trying 16mm pots and putting the whole thing into maybe a 125B so that the 16mm pots will fit. But I'm not sure what problems I will run into trying to do this. Anytime I have tried to deviate from the build doc on a project I have run into trouble. Because of that, I try to stay as true to the build doc as possible usually. And besides artwork, getting things to fit properly into an enclosure is one of the things I am worst at. What problems do you think I will run into here? Or - is there another place I can get the *same style* dual-gang 9mm right-angled 100kB pots as the build doc that I'm not seeing? Mouser is the web equivalent of a large chain warehouse store. 

Good afternoon! Hopefully, I've posted this in the proper area of the forum. My apologies if I did not. My (probably stupid) question is: Does it matter what type of 1M pot to use for the "Freq" control? Normally, I see linear, logarithmic, or reverse log. I searched the forum thinking that someone probably already posted this, but I couldn't find the answer. The pdf doesn't indicate A, B, or C. I'm guessing it doesn't matter, but I just want to be sure - I suck at desoldering components!

Hello! Here's what's going on. I built a Civil War version Mud Bunny. It works great... as long as I don't box it up.

I tried to make sure I read up on everything before and while I was putting it together. I had some enclosures that a co-worker gave me. He used to build pedals but hasn't now for years. He had some old enclosures left that he just gave to me. But the enclosures are kind of small. The best I can tell is that they are maybe 1590a or 1590b, but there doesn't seem to be enough height in the enclosures. Being new at this, I am trying not to have a spaghetti mess of wire in my box - but there kind of is anyway.

I don't expect early builds to be perfect, though - and in fact I almost want them to look homemade (dymo labels, et al). If I continue to get better at this, then I will try to get things neat and won't want them to look homemade. I put the circuit in an electrical junction box (a bit larger than the enclosure my coworker gave me), and it still really won't fit - and when I cram everything in there, it stops working.

I plan to order a 1590bbt enclosure for it and hopefully that will take care of the issue, but I was wondering if anyone might have any tips or tricks to keep wiring short and neat, or for boxing stuff up correctly/neatly.
