Title: Coda Soft Bypass
Post by: drog_trog on August 17, 2018, 10:53:57 AM
Just reading through Coda's relay bypass. He recommends using the PicKit2 to actually burn the code, all i can find to buy is the PicKit3 from digiKey (Digi-Key Part Number: DV164122-ND) can that be used?

I recommend getting a cheapo Pickit2 from ebay, from what I've heard the Pickit3 is more temperamental and frustrating to work with. You can get the programmer and a ZIF board on ebay for like 15$ total. (This could be false, given how little I know about programming, but I decided to not risk it since it was cheap enough)

One of the FFX guys used to be a design engineer at MicroChip and does all of our programming.  FWIW, he recommends the Pickit2 and that's what we use.
