Title: ZPDD & Modulation
Post by: GrindCustoms on July 19, 2014, 07:48:48 PM
Is there a possibility that the ZPDD is not compatible with LED/LDR modulation daughter board?

The delay itself works perfectly, soon as i engage the modulation it starts motorboating and other funky unwanted noise? Normal?

Thanks

Anyone?

Try wiring it like the modulation on the zpsdx, its not connected across the pot, as we normally add it.

I've not tried this, but worth a go.

I have not tried that type of modulation with the zpsdx or zpdd. You might need to tie one end of the photocell to 5v rather than ground. Or, tie the photocell to the outer lugs of the delay pot.

Thanks guys! Will try those suggestions.

Cool thing tho.... is that my «modulation only» mode works. Something i had started to do with the DeProfundis delays, by having the LFO tied across the Time pot (lug3 and 1) so the LFO act as the time pot. I really like that mode... get some neat/weird chorus... ...decayed modulation sounds.

Heading out to do some wakeboard.... will report back later tonight. :D

It might not even need the LED/LDR combo, and just use the output from the depth pot.
