Hello. I have my current lover wired up and good to go. I get the bypass signal and all, but when i plug in my dc power, the 10r resistor (spot r33) just smokes up. Should I place a higher resistor (1k?) in the spot? What could this possibly be? Any help would be appreciated.

Every bit of power flows through R33 -- it's a voltage dropping resistor. What wattage resistor do you have in there?

i have/had a 1/4w 10ohm carbon film resistor in that spot.

Try 100R there if you have it. If not, jumper it.

Make sure you've wired the polarity of your DC jack correctly. If it's backwards, it'll look pretty much like a dead short across R33.
