Ok, first post after first project!
Built the EgoDriver, checked the components and the wiring.
All pots respond ok and hp/lp as well.
Sub part: 1n4148 (1n914) for the 1n34a that i broke.
The pedals sounds with volume ok, but like it's a low battery powered overdrive or fuzz.
The power supply is the voodoo labs pp2 and checked 9v ok.
Some photos (hope soon in the build reports!)

Hey Bandit, welcome to the forum.
There'a s thread here titled "Rules for getting tech help," and I think it will help you a lot to take a look through that.
In the meantime, most issues with pedals are a result of either using the wrong part, installing them incorrectly, or making a mistake with the wiring/soldering. I would start looking there, and then move to seeing if parts are touching that shouldn't be.
Oh, and your diode change should be no problem. That's not likely going to cause you issues.
Jacob
the part values are ok and solder points checked
I don't know if there is some capacitor blown away, or the IC/transistors not working, the sound seems to fade away
meanwhile, i forgot to ask the main reason i started this thread,
what should be the voltage in VB+, all parts in the 9v pathway are ok
Are q1 and q2 oriented properly? Can you give us IC voltages?
Josh
VB+ should be pretty close to 4.5 volts. Do give us the measured voltages for each IC pin.
hi, just got home!
IC voltages are
1- 3,45
2- 3,46
3- 3,30
4- 0
5- 3,68
6- 3,68
7- 3,68
8- 8,70
re-checking now 9v pathway, almost double on VB+
oh, and some sounds better than words
there is the actual problem, recorded with my mobile phone

now, time for my daily cycling! =)
capacitor problem!
problem, replaced the two electrolytic and the tantalum all in once. One of them was the problem...
hell with it, I'M HAPPY! :D :D :D
