Does anyone here know of a 1590A reverb build? I know that Dave (pickdropper) has the Hall Spawn but I have never done any SMT stuff. I have a friend looking for one and he wants it as small as possible. I tried talking him into the Moodring but he wants a 1590A size if possible. Thanks in advance.

I think it would be really hard to fit all the springs in a 1590A.

:D, I actually have the opposite problem. I have to periodically hold myself back from building a plate reverb. It would be so cool, but so big.
On a maybe more helpful note, you might be able to do it with a project based on the Spin Semi IC.
what about the Ersatz verben, wonder if that could be made to fit?

I bet. It looks like it might be a tight fit. I might try and do a eagle design...

So I started doing this last night and in your mod notes is says "Jumper pin 3 of brick > 5.1K". Does this mean use a >5.1k resistor instead of the jumper? Also would you have any gut shots of the finished build? just curious really.

wait.... how do you manage to get a brick on a 1590A???, or it uses a delay to produce the echo??

It's a Brick. It does fit...just barley, but it fits.
Here is a picture of the board populated but I did not take any pictures of the pedal before I sold it to a buddy... who since got his gear stolen in Santa Cruz. I still look out for the pedal online. haha

Awesome! thanks Cody. That certianly did answer my questions. Good idea using the Tantalum caps too. I bought the tiny Electrolytic's from Paul and they were still a little big. Thanks tho. I had to order a new 1590A from small bear (BLMS was out)...miss drill :'(. Just goes to show after 2 months off I still can't get a drill pattern right. :o

If you look on my layout, there's a jumper going from pin 1 of the op amp to pin 3 of the brick. (They're directly connected in the schematic.) I preferred a 5.1K resistor in place of that jumper for whatever reason.

Awesome! That's what I figured. I did a test fit yesterday and it is actually lining up. Thanks for the great layout Jon. There were a couple of others in the DB folder that i was thinking about doing as well. As usual, you rock.

It does but you have to summon the sprit of "tiny spaces". Just ask Jon.

Just wanted to add to this.. I was able to verify this layout tonight and it is another contender for a 1590A reverb with a Belton. This will be just as hard if not harder since it has 2 knobs but it would be a fun challenge.
This is the MOD The Deluxe Reverb - http://www.modkitsdiy.com/pedal/verb_deluxe (http://www.modkitsdiy.com/pedal/verb_deluxe)
http://effectslayouts.blogspot.com/2015/01/mod-verb-deluxe.html (http://effectslayouts.blogspot.com/2015/01/mod-verb-deluxe.html)
Also, check out Storyboardist's other layouts. He's doing some great stuff and needs the help with verifying his layouts. I have done 3 of them so far and they been all good.
Cody
As promised here are some pictures of the test fitting. This thing is a super tight fit just like everyone said. I managed tho.

What jacks are those...super sexy!
You can get them at small bear but I got these on eBay. I'll see if I can find a link

Oh man. This is blowing my mind. Must... resist...
If those bricks weren't so expensive (and mediums sold out at Small Bear) I'd be perfing up a board tonight. So cool!
Sockets, TOO?!?! Wow!
I just tested the board and this thing sounds great. Jon's mods are awesome sounding. I think I'm going to try and finish the enclosure paint tonight so I can box it up.
