Title: Krankosaurus Wiring
Post by: Tpetty5 on February 17, 2011, 02:31:54 PM
I just finished a Krankosaurus.  It is tested and working and I am getting ready to box it up.  This is my second build and I thought I had a pretty good understanding of the wiring.  The Krankosaurus appears to be a negative ground circuit.  If I am correct, this means the DC power supply tip is negative.  On the PDF build document wiring diagram (Ver. 3), it shows the tip (T) of the DC power jack wired to the 9V input of the board.  Is this correct?

If it is a negative ground circuit shouldn't the tip and sleeve wiring be reversed on the diagram?

Thanks in advance for the help, I thought I had a good handle on the wiring but after studying the Krankosaurus diagram I am a little confused.

Yeah, it's an older diagram where the dc jack drawing wasn't very informative on my part. It's a neg ground circuit. Wire the dc as you would any other....you can check the wiring diagrams sitcky which has an updated and more generalized wiring diagram.
