Kinki fuzz

The madbeanpedals Tonebender, very nice, easy and fast build, inexpensive, and sounds great. The fuzz pot has a wide range from quite clean to fully fuzzy and cleans up nicely with guitar volume. Makes me think why bother with the germanium stuff, this is a great fuzz.

great build, looks awesome ;)

Very nice build, Kinki.

It's amazing what so few parts can do.

Looks great. Do you have issues with the knobs running into each other?

Thanks guys!!
Jabulani: no, there's like 1,5mm between them, just enough...

This looks great! I'm also curious about the transistors. I've got a yet-to-be-boxed MkII on vero and it's been a lot of fun trying out different ones to see what changes with the sound.

I bet that 100n cap at the output allows the silicon transistors to deliver a similar bass content to what you would get with germanium and 10n. Cool idea on Brian's part.

I used 2N3904s, didnt test any other, to tell the truth, these sound great!!

I am tempted to make one of these...
I have a couple of GE tonebenders and also a Hot SI fuzz but am wondering if this version has more ooomph and warmth.
Good build!  I like it
