I've used these things: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/lm-products-surelock-nylon-guitar-strap for years. They're cheap (they were only $10 the last time I bought one), keep your guitar from falling on the ground, and also don't require any mods.

The fact that what's supposed to be a Mu = μ, is most often (but not always) written as a U = u, for convenience's sake, makes everything extra confusing;)

I like this chart: http://www.hamradio.cc/electronics/capacitance_conversion_chart.php because it has the actual component codes as well.

And this is an excellent resistor code calculator, while we're at it: http://www.hobby-hour.com/electronics/resistorcalculator.php

Acetone is the only thing I know of that will reliable take off solvent-based (if it's not printed on paper or wood, there's little chance of it being water based) screen ink. But, of course, acetone is likely to take the paint right along with it...

Mods / Re: Speed up the Pork Barrell?

I'm really digging my recently completed (version 2) Pork Barrel, but I find I'm leaving the "Deep" switch on all the time.

Wondering if I could make this sound the default (i.e. toggle-off), and save the switch for a more extreme sound. If I'm interpreting the schematic correctly (and there's every chance I'm not  ;) ), I'm thinking change C18 from 47pF to 100pF (approximately the value of C18 + C26).

Then maybe put a socket at C26 and just experiment for the desired level of toggle-on wackiness.
