I cant say the same. Although a few days ago I went to the Coheelee creek covered bridge. My feet are still torn up from the sharp rocks on the last level of the creek. :o

Haha, nah, there's no reason to come here unless you have a court date or something.    :D

I certainly can't verify it, this was just speculation....

Pigtronix does claim they use a dual potentiometer, so would assume it's SOMETHING similar.

Someone else will have to step in for the mechanical side of things.

This is basically where I would start, using a dual ganged potentiometer and DPDT switch.

Not far from me. I'm in Dothan.

Nope, not far at all.   I've been through Dothan a few times.

Howdy Robert! where abouts in Georgia are you?

I'm in Albany, down in the southwest corner.

Gah, I can't afford to order any parts this week!

But... It's kinda like women with shoes...  "But they were on sale!"     :D

These envelope systems are brilliant!

I've just recently started stocking my drawer cabinets (like Stevies) and realized what a pain it was going to be when I needed to insert new values....

I'm going to have to consider this in the near future.

My bad.

Hope I didn't come off as "snappy"... Wasn't my intentions!     ;D

Fake semiconductors? Oh wow...    Now that I didn't even consider.

The knobs I've gotten from Tayda have actually been decent, where the ones I've gotten from other dealers look somewhat scuffed up.... That said, I have stripped the flat head off the metal inserts in a few WAY too easily.

I've had no problems with the 9V jacks, I was referring to the battery snaps.

Another thing worth noting with Tayda...

I submitted a customer review about the 9V battery connectors about two months ago, not completely bashing them, just advising that they may not be the best in applications where the battery might be changed frequently...

My review never appeared....

I've had no trouble with the standard metal jacks, pots, or 3PDT switches from Tayda.
However, I did learn the hard way that you can't use the nut from the stereo jack on the mono jack....

The 9V battery connectors on the other hand, I'll never buy another one of those.

Oh and the SPDT toggle switches, you better get it right the first time, those things don't take heat very well.
Stupid switch, oh well, it looks nice.

I use the #24 almost exclusively.  I think it's great wire.

Certainly, it can break if you handle it too much.  It's sort of a trade-off between solid core and stranded.  Solid core is more likely to break and stranded doesn't stay in place as well.

I might give #24 a shot.     I do like the way I can shape/route the wire and have it stay in place, but I also like for it to be flexible enough that I don't have to worry about destroying the circuit if I want to mod it later.

Too many people give the SB pre-bond praise for it to be total crap, I assume I'm just a bit too rough with it.

I've never actually had it break in the middle, it's usually near solder connections where it doesn't have the reinforcement of insulation and has somewhat sharp bends.

I should probably work on my installation methods...
I'm not a noob but also not a seasoned expert when it comes to pedal building.   ;)

I love Small Bear's pre-bonded wire. It's in every pedal I've ever built, and it's never given me trouble.

Hrm.... Maybe I'm just monkeying with it too much?    Mine is #22 though, I wonder if the heavier gauge is my problem...  ???

I've used it in three different pedals, I've gone back and completely rewired two of them after the fact because the wires break off near the solder connection if moved more than about twice.   At first I thought I was nicking the wire with my strippers, so I started stripping with a razor blade by hand, still no luck.  I've even tried clipping the wire and using heat to make the insulation push back rather than stripping, still breaks if I move my PCB more than a time or two.

Using regular el-cheapo stranded wire I can flip the PCB around like nunchucks without a problem.

I work in the repair industry and have used lots of different kinds of hookup wire over the years, this stuff is hands down the most troublesome (for me) that I've ever used.   I've gotten lots of recommendations for SB's pre-bonded wire, I just don't get it.   After this stuff is gone I hope to never see it again.   :D

OP, take my opinion with a grain of salt, I've never read any other complaints about it.
