Title: Help me identifying schematic
Post by: 2tonewarrior on October 01, 2013, 11:45:44 AM
I was going to make a board out of a schematic I did in eagle time ago. I was going to check the values but I didn´t remember where I take the original schem   :-[

The schematic i did is attached. Its a common tube amp to jfet pedal emulator. The only think I know is I named it Fender champ.

Thanks in advance ;)

It looks like some sort of triode-to-JFET amp schematic conversion. I did a Valve Jr version that's similar.

But I have some doubts on some of those values in your schematic. R1 and R3 are really 1M? I kinda doubt it.

Also, I don't know if a 5K trimmer has enough range to bias any JFET you throw in there. I would say 25K or 50K would be better.

As I said i was going to check the values because I often copy paste components to do it faster and forgot to change some values but R1 if for sure 1M. I always start with the in to the out making schematics in eagle. Not 100% sure about R3

thanks for the reply btw

I've never seen an input resistor value that high. Usually it's less than 100K. But I'm okay with being wrong.  ;D
