Title: Fat Pants
Post by: Kinki fuzz on December 05, 2013, 08:03:26 AM
Hi!

This is  the first build report I post here, I have several projects I will post soon, but in my mind it makes sense the Fat Pants to be the first and take the opportunity to say a big thank you to Brian and to all the people involved in this community, I've been building pedals for a while but with your help I'm several steps forward now. So thanks.

I had no issues at all with the build (as with all madbeanpedals projects so far...). I have used a clear printed sticker on bare aluminum and added clear coat.

Soundwise the thing is superb, it's filed under "boosters" but it could as well be within "overdrives", the lower drive settings sound to me close to a LPB1, which is a pedal I use a lot to push amps or other pedals. But the fatpants has a much wider range to drive your signal without altering it much, and has more output too, so it's a great tool to have in hand when you feel your tone needs some extra balls. Love it.
