Title: True bypass switch
Post by: rps-10 on June 14, 2012, 10:07:09 AM
How would I go about adding in a "true bypass" toggle switch to the buffered version of the Karate chop I built?

I like it as a buffered pedal as per the original Systech, but I would really like to try it out in front of some grumpy Fuzz pedals of mine that don't like buffers, without doing any re soldering to permanent true bypass.

I've seen this done on other pedals but no idea how to wire it up. :P

I believe this will work. You'll need a DPDT switch.

Excellent thanks!!

It took about 3 minutes of me staring at that then the penny dropped.  ;)

I would swear the build docs I had for this actually showed this? I have them at home so I'm working off my memory.

Just an fyi in case she doesn't fire up.

Build docs have wiring for both, one or the other. Not both together and switchable between buffered and true bypass.
