Glad to see more fans out there:)

For me, personally, the period around 1990 represent the most refreshing and exciting of all musical eras.

My favourite four of that period was - and still are - Faith No More, Saigon Kick, Warrior Soul and ... King's X. If i have to rank them, FNM is first, closely followed by King's X. Great stuff:)

Mr Midway! I have followed many of your boxes here, even though i havent typed in all threads. The Nature Dweller is my favourite of your artwork so far. You really nailed it this time. Very nice!

That oldschool labeling technique (a DYMO machine?) is really cool. Can you even buy them these days?

AGM? Another Great Monster?

This is still my go to amp; I use the SE-5A, but not as much as the WF-55.

I guess it depends on whether you are a Marshall or Fender amp guy?

Yea, i read your words about going to the WF-55:) ... I myself am definately Marshall though. Ill give it a few more thoughts... then its time to order. Shipping to sweden looks like about 30 GBP, fairly reasonable:).

Cheers mate!

The art on your enclosures always look SOOOO good, Vallhagen!

And I also love the das-blinkenlights-meets-Swedish-Chef names you give them  ;D

You know, through the years (basically as a musician/singer, but also in other fields), i have learned to handle all kinds (well, most kinds) of verdicts about my work, good and bad.  And words like yours "...SOOOO good..." really keeps my inspiration going. It feels special, Thank you very much, alanp!

...blinkenlights...?  ;D What is that? My english doesnt go that far... and neither... german??

I can make things Laudah?
Very nice finish :)

Correct sir! To quote a famous Spinal Tap scene... "this one goes to eleven... one laudah!"
Thank you:)

Industrial pedal chic  :)

Hmm... if i ever in some future design a flashy webpage with my own designed stuff for sale, may i keep that as an advertising header? :)

Thanx!

I figure the traditional Tele lovers will hate this. The gold harware haters will hate it and well Tele haters hate it anyway  :P But I like it  :)
:D

Not sure if i fit in any of those cathegories  :D ...

It looks all classy to me. Verrrrry nice job!

I must type something in this thread, i have read it a few times.

Very inspiring. Awesome stuff, Raulduke. I really have to build one of those amps. I can come up with two reasons; i need a better practice amp, and also i need to get into the world of tube technology ...

Ampmaker seems like a good option to order from? I dont find shipping costs (to sweden) on the webpage, so i will Email him/them.

Then i have to make up my mind, what model i should go for. The 18W thing looks nice:)

I boxed this one, my version of Jack Ormans MOSFET Boost / Madbean ThunderPuss. The first box i do build for someone else; a friend simply needed a booster.

Cheers!

Thanx guys:)

Relaxing is the word ;D ...

Rej: I just found those jacks and i like them. Small and gives a feeling of "full and high quality", available as mono or stereo. Bought from http://moodysounds.com/ (link to the jacks: http://moodysounds.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_18_20&products_id=21 ), one of very few swedish shops selling "our" stuff. He is not really cheap when it comes to parts, but gives excellent service. And i gladly support the local shop now and then. He also sells box kits and pcb-s with some fun designs.

August 13, 2012, 09:29:06 PM
My latest one. And maybe my simplest so far, yet one of the best sounding things i built. It is the Red Llama. And it felt good to "just put together" (well not really "just") a fairly easy thing after the almost over-ambitious SubCommander:)

For me, the challenge this time was to do the design all the way. From Eagle design to etching etc. It is the second board i successfully etch and drill myself. Very satisfying:)

The enclosure is another story. I first designed it as an etch mask, but after failing big time twice(!), i sanded it down and put it on as a decal.  Yes, "Röd" = "Red" in swedish.

... I really cant thank this forum enough, even though i read more than type; so much help and talented ppl in one place!

Cheers!
