Title: Keeley Monterey
Post by: AntKnee on March 07, 2016, 06:25:59 PM
Anyone have the low down on the Keeley Monterey? I assume its just a compact layout of a few effects all put together, but can't tell which. Maybe some of you fuzz masters can tell?

I see a FV-1 on there.

I was very impressed with their demos. Nice package and nice mix of effects.

Yikes, i'm all for board mounting but board mounted jacks, dc jack, pots, toggle and 3PDT seems like a recipe for trouble down the line or at least expensive repairs.

Yeah I thought that was odd, too. They don't even put a nut on the switch. I get why they do it aesthetically, but I guess I'd be concerned. Though I'm not the one selling thousands of pedals a year, either.

Bet those enclosure holes at drilled oversize.  They could have tension in multiple planes with everything board mounted.  Drilling needs to be absolutely perfect or there needs to be a bit of slop built in.
