A Woolly M***moth Fuzz, but with a second stomp for "Party Mode"- which adds a Logan 5 ring-modulator.
Ring modulation can also be controlled by waving a hand or a foot over the optical sensor.

Transistors are nice BC109s in the fuzz. Guts a real mess I re-worked them a few times. Originally it had a feedback loop, then I added the ring mod but found I had carrier noise issues. Shielded the input line and rearranged things now it's nice and quiet.

Oh... and the party hat lights up when the Ring mod is active.

This is just pure enjoyment! I want one.......super cool build.
Steve.
hah! hilarious!
I bet it sounds hellish
Very beautiful build and graphic!! Great job! 8)
Wickedness at it's best! Cool cool build!
thats really cool, is there a schematic for this mod?
outstanding etch :)
i really love that fuzz, thick fat and smooth :) lots of sustain :)
love the artwork and the whole concept
"Ring modulation can also be controlled by waving a hand or a foot over the optical sensor."
That is wild!
Sweet! And those guts go with the theme of the pedal: controlled chaos.
That LPR for the modulation is a pretty trick idea. How does it work on a stage, under ever-changing lights? Might add an extra element of interest. :)
As always, that's yet another amazing etch and rad circuit.

That's just incredible. Can we get a video demo of party mode?

Giggle. Awesome etch. :)
Nice combination of effects, and that LDR for fun is just way too cool. Love the etch too. You are killin' it. :)
This is super fun!
I love the hat!
Ha!!!!!!! That's awesome on so many levels.
Very cool. Bring it with you to New York for testing!
Thanks everyone! It certainly is a fun one. :)

Yes, it's always going to have varying results depending on the environment. It's in series with the Frequency pot so it has some range of adjustment. If your light show is synchronised to your music in some way it definitely could get interesting.

I don't have to ship it for a little while, so I'll see what I can do.

By "mod" I meant ring modulator. The circuit is Culturejam's improved "Thing Modulator," originally designed by Tim Escobado. With a bit of searching you should be able to track it down. ;)
My vero layout is attached. Using the right IC is crucial, they can be a little tricky to locate- I have a bunch if anyone wants some.
I really dig this!
Great work.
I love this so much. Please, please make a demo!
thanks for the info :) really cool idea.
i built the guitar pcb mammoth and i really like it! using other trannies is a great idea too :)
Mine are about 200 & 250hfe respectively. Reduced the gain pot to 1k also.
Dude, this build rips! 10/10
That's brilliant! Nice build!
Thanks for inviting us to the party. :D
