I know, that arranging components symmetrically doesn't always make sense electrically, but this thing looks sweet!

Nice pcb design. For me, I find having the components in nice straight rows makes stuffing the board so much easier.

I've built the Thermionic Distortion, Dirty Sanchez OD and the Betty Boost.  The Brown Betty is next on my list.  Love all three.  I like the Dirty Sanchez OD more than the Thermionic Distortion.  I have to agree that symmetrical layouts are easier to stuff and look super cool.  I've never had trouble with the Bugg's pcbs sounding bad.

that layout is pleasing to the eye for sure. I tend to do that too, if possible. I also spend hours aligning parts (eg. after changing from inch to mm and back).
