DPDT switch damage

I've done this a couple of times to the x wing style DPDT switch... I accidentally overheated one of the "wings" and it melted the plastic housing, causing the wing to sag. I pushed it back into place while the plastic was still soft and it seems to be okay. I don't know anything about the internals of the switch, so I'm wondering if this is actually fine, or if I need to replace the switch. It seems to work.
I build, and once in a while I might sell, pedals as "Vertigo Effects".
