Title: Making a straightfoward TS clone out of a Green Bean
Post by: borgs0 on June 04, 2016, 04:17:21 PM
I'd like to take the board used for the green bean and make something more like a straight ahead clone of the TS-808 without the switches. Just a 3 knob clone with not frills. Is it possible to short circuit the switches so that they always take one route through the circuit and get something like this?

Forgive me if this is in the wrong section, first time here as a poster.

Have you looked over the build doc? I'm pretty sure that it explains how to make a stock version. If you don't want the switches is just a matter of putting a jumper between the center and one pad where you'd connect the switch. It shouldn't be too difficult to figure out which side, just follow the traces to the sides you want to use.

just leave D1-D3 and jumper the left two pads of the clipping switch

for the fat switch, omit C5 and R21 and also jumper left two pads of the switch

Thank you very much guys, I realize now I was misreading the build docs. I didn't understand what I was looking at.

It's nice to have a community behind this stuff, makes it a lot easier to learn.
