Sounds much darker than I was expecting, probably the higher volume on the amp.

King of Klones, Sounds really good. Pardon the hum, all my un-boxed pedals do that. I lowered my expectations for this pedal based on what people were saying about the KoT but this actually has some very useable sounds on lower gain settings; higher gain tends to get too fizzy. Opamp is an OPA2132, hard diodes are an LED and and BAT46. Soft clip diodes are BAT46>BAT46 || BAT41>LED. Input cap is 47n, needs some post gain treble filtering I think.

PS: Whoops, forgot. Guitar is a telecaster with nocaster pickups and a twin reverb.

Awesome demo as usual! I think you definitely brought out the best in what the pedal has to offer. I can hear some Stones-like riffage in here, and I also find the pedal makes me want to play that kind of thing. This circuit is almost like the missing link between the fuzz face and MXR D+.

Tonally, yours is very similar to mine, but you've definitely got a little more gain going from that BC108c. I do think I will have to experiment a bit! I think the non-germanium diode array on yours sounds stellar as well.

I also notice this gets darker with high volume. In fact, it's only at high volume that I've gotten any sub-octave, if my ears aren't fooling me. I notice it's pretty sensitive to pickup changes, so I'm able to tame the darkness with the bridge pickup. But using the neck or both pickups is where I get more fuzz, so I guess it's a toss-up...

Your pepperspray sounds amazing!! Its so aggressive, I really like it. A big mean fuzz can be necessary sometimes when you gotta get nasty...Its got really good sustain, fat for chords and chills out when riffing. Your getting some good 70's tones. I like how you can roll straight from a heavy riff into more bluesy licks, I really think I need to make mine!

I'm digging the soft clipping on your Kok..really great demos!

Dude we have to have another pedal marathon when I get back to LA. I've built a ton of junk that you need to check out. I've got some germanium stuff for you too! I have a Pharaoh clone we can test out as well!

great sounds! both sound nice and gritty!

That's some great playing. Love yer style, Jake.
