Title: 3pdt orientation
Post by: Megadeth on February 02, 2013, 08:21:06 AM
Hello!

Just got hold of a couple of unmarked 3pdt switches. The others i've got had markings 1 2 3 and a b c etc. So my question is  if there is quick and easy way to measure up the orientation? I've tried it myself with my multimeter but i did not get any wiser doing that.

In new to building as well, but from what I understand it's this:

- - - throw 1
- - - common
- - - throw 2.

So basically as long as the lugs of the switch are horizontal, you will be fine.

Uproar and and a serendipity! comming along nice, just waiting for my cases and they are ready.

Ps: Just noticed the reason i could not get good readings....I was pushing the switch to gently so it never actually switched :)
