You can also get good Burmese food in the DC suburbs...Mandalay in Silver Spring if I'm remembering the name right.

My family and I lived in Gaithersburg for a couple of years while I worked in DC. Not the place for us long term, but we enjoyed it and took advantage of it while were there. I especially loved that all the museums were free.
