Are those mini carbon comp resistors? Never seen such diddy resistors before.

Those are carbon film resistors. They're 1/8 watt instead of the common 1/4 watt resistors we use.

There's a difference between Carbon Comp and Carbon Film resistors.

Carbon comp resistors, if I'm getting this right, have a dark brown body. CF are light brown, and MF are blue.

And, if I'm getting this right as well, they mostly make a difference in tone at 400V, in valve amplifiers. At 9V, they mostly make a difference in the noise department. This is all AFAIK, mind you.

It looks like a Cherrybomb with 2n3565s, to boot. I wonder how that sounds compared to the usual BC109s?
