VFE Projects / VFE Switching board
October 19, 2023, 04:17:46 PM
How to add a battery to the V3 board.
The PDF instructions mentions using a battery option that bypasses the switching board.
Any instructions on how to add battery power to anything using the V3 switching board?
Thanks!

VFE Projects / Re: VFE Fuzz Duo
October 03, 2023, 03:10:14 PM
I am about to start building the Fuzz Duo.
When it comes to the switching board. I understand this instruction, when the switching board gets wired to the main board. "For single supply rail (+9v only such as the FuzzDuo, Distoriton3, AlphaDog, etc) the same
wiring is used except you will not wire the V- pads on the switching board or VFE PCB (orange
wire).
This part of the instructions I need help with. "Start by populating your components for the particular switching scheme you need
for your VFE build. This is for a single supply circuit so I have left the charge pump
and associated electrolytic caps empty"
I am not sure of what the requirements of the Fuzz Duo are in relationship to the switching board. I am not knowledgeable  enough to know by reading the schematics. If I were to populate the switching board with all the components show in the Values diagram including the correct diode for the over current for the Fuzz Duo would I be ok. I am not sure which parts on the switching board
the Fuzz Duo needs or does not need.
Thank you!

Madbean,

I would like to make a VFE Fuzz Duo. I see this pedal in the shop list. Do you have a PCB for this pedal?

Thank you!

Thanks for the reply.
Yes just double checked. Correct relay.

Switching problem on the Dragon.
LED is switching on and off but the signal is still going through the pedal. Pedal itself is not switching...always on. Any idea what part of the circuit is not functioning?
All the controls are functioning properly, just not switching off.

Thanks!

In the LPF signal path I had 200k ohm resistors in the place of 220 ohm resistors.  The resistors that set the bandwidth of the filter.

Call off the dogs...fixed the problem.
Thanks to anyone that took a look.

VFE Projects / VFE Standout Help
April 05, 2019, 07:35:33 PM
Just finished a VFE Standout
LPF is not working at all in any configuration.
HPF seems to be working properly.
When the toggle switch is put into the 12dB setting the HPF stops working as well...so in that toggle position neither filters are working.
Did my best to check for errors in the build.
Any help anyone is will to offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

VFE Projects / VFE Dragon diode
April 04, 2019, 01:40:30 AM
Building a VFE dragon. Question with one of the three diodes. I have the 1N4148 and 1N5817 correctly figured out.
List of parts on PCB layout diagram and BOM lists a 20v Zenner(directly east of the 12F509)
The PCB itself and he PCB layout diagram has 18v for the Zenner diode.
Which one is correct?

Thanks!
