Make sure you block the exhaust port, otherwise it'll get clogged with X-wings.

Took quite a while, but I finaly got this finished.
Tagboardeffects Boneyard, with dual volume, gain and EQ controls, switchable via 4pdt. EQ boards modular so to use a single pole on switch. After that a  Thunderpuss boost.
Graphics are UV printed on an aluminum plate.

Build Reports / BOTY 2016 Sunking ... finally !
July 16, 2017, 09:15:43 AM
So I finally got around to building this. Thanks again to bigmufffuzzwizz for the pcb and Brian for hosting the botys.
Practicaly stock except for the tone cap (6n8). Diodes are germanium in the 0.25 Vf neighborhood.
I usually prefer the pcb with components facing up, but I went with on-board(ish) 16mm pots and flipped it .
The graphics are of a statue in Mexico City and several others called La Diana Cazadora (Hunter Diana). Took an image from the interwebs, GIMPed the heck out of it to get a kinda siluette and off to a local printing shop.
On-board gain and volume pots.. or something like that... used solid core wire to roll my own ;)

Gutshot

La Diana Cazadora, I think this was the image I  used, don't remenber exactly

That is nice!
Did you etch the board?

Yes

The one that I would most recommend is the chorus level pot. The others are more like bells and whistles hehe. I added them to use with the kill switch, ei "vibrato" mode , to play around with the warblily sounds.
I have some boxes printed at a local shop. For lack of a better translation , the shop calls it "direct printing". I haven't seen the machine itself, but I think it's a DTG (direct to garment) printer. Don't know if they use special inks though.

MB Pork barrel. I didn't use the wet switch, instead I added a dpdt switch with 100n and 33n caps to increase rate (R20 in this layout) from this post:

Really cool. How does it sound compression wise, in my mind, a clean blend defeats the purpose.

Well .. kinda ...
The first time I tested it (before boxing and no knobs) I thought "oh crap, must have f'd up somewhere because this thing isn't doing anything.." .. turns out I had the blend pot all the way to the dry side .. hahaha.
but ok .... MY take on this is like this:
I've never realy been to into compressors. Being the dumb ass guitarist that I am, I've always liked that if I strum harder it's louder and viceversa. Trying out a bud's compressor my first impression was exactly that .. "no way.. this isn't for me" ... after toggling, setting, playing and a whole lot knob turning I had the leveling of the low signals, compression and sustain going realy well... and the dumb ass guitarist was "dude.. play louder on that part" .. this is more a dynamics type thing , not volume.
Now, the lazy ass guitarist part (the nerd part was the one trying to keep the other two happy) didn't want to be turning on and off the compressor the all the time.
So .... Dry blend.
Maybe all three of me are wrong, but I liked the effect this way. And hey, If I change my mind I can just turn the knob to all wet and it's just a 4KC.

Build Reports / Tagboardeffects 5KC

The very nice people (Mirosol in this case) drew up a layout with an added clean blend to the Ross/Keeley 4 knob compressor. tight fit for a 1590B, but doable.

http://tagboardeffects.blogspot.mx/2016/01/5-knob-compressor.html

And and independent board to add to any Ross based compressor:

Graphics are printed on an aluminum plate later drilled to match the enclosure.
