Mark Knopfler is one of my guitar heroes. Found this nice interview on YouTube where he talks about how he started playing guitar and some background on a few of his songs. Seems like a really nice guy.

He does always come across as just a really nice person. If you haven't seen it, check this one out

Sultans of Swing is one of my all time favorite guitar songs. I really like his sound.
On through the night is an awesome listen if you haven't heard it yet.
The only thing I have ever faulted him for is his "this song demanded a 1959 Gretsch Country Gentleman into a tweed twin low power model; the high power one would never do for that chorus" mentality in magazine interviews.
I did think it was cool he endorsed crate vintage clubs in the 90s. kinda weird

Thanks for the link. Just finished it and really enjoyed it. Seeing the architecture and hearing the accents made me miss England though. Plus, seeing Mark Knopfler losing his hair and being a bit overweight made me feel a bit old. Amazing how much he's changed over the years and I still look exactly the same. ;)
