Here's a novel little gadget for those of you chasing tonal Nirvana.
This is the Codtone modified version of the "Lofo Mofo" a transistor Radio emulation device- it'll turn your beautiful guitar tone into that of a lousy transistor Radio!
I'll bet that's one sound your Two Rocks/Soldano/Dr Z can't pull!

It slashes the low end, adds cruddy distortion with a single diode to ground (Broken-ness Control) and considerable Hiss (Noise Floor/Volume Knob) via a 2N2222. So it destroys your tone, adds ugly distortion and heaps of hiss ;D

The circuit has been modified to reach above unity gain with another circuit snippet (B booster) tacked on and I smoothed the extreme highs with a treble bleed.
The extra gain actually makes for quite a nasty (in a nice way) treble booster too.
I love it! Makes me smile. Been meaning to build one of these for a while but just get distracted with some new shiny object (like building an expandora, my kid loved seeing mail from Australia, got here really fast!).
And you can now play the beginning of this: http://youtu.be/mS8LvHT_zcQ?t=44s (http://youtu.be/mS8LvHT_zcQ?t=44s)
