I wanted a buffered Klon for my work board (after a buddy of mine absconded with my other one).
Rej's new PCB is a lot nicer from a wiring standpoint. Most of the buffered Klons can get a bit annoying when trying to keep the wiring clean.

great looking pedal allaround, but that footswitch wiring is just to much....awesome!
Beautiful enclosure as usual, and the wiring is insanely clean. Is this Amphenol ribbon wire (http://fr.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Amphenol-Spectra-Strip/111-2699-988/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMsJiFh04Lj2rrXwXrOHEJqB2whl1NSgMI8%3d) ?

Yes, that is the exact same wire. It's wonderful to use. The only thing to pay attention to is that the jacket will shrink and tear if overheated. But that isn't a really big deal, IMHO.
Really clean looking build! Just wondering if you could share how you mounted the PCB to the enclosure? Thanks.
THAT. IS. STUNNING. Tip of the hat to you sir, you've done it again.
Stunning! Just out or curiosity, why the stereo input jack?

Yep, I mounted it with 3M VHB foam tape and a couple of pieces of scrap acrylic. It was a sandwich of:
VHB - Acrylic - VHB - Acrylic - VHB
That tape is really strong. The board shouldn't go anywhere.

Just in case I change my mind and add a battery later (highly unlikely).
Always inspiring! Amazingly clean!
What is the finish on this one?
Alright, I just looked over the pics again... I completely missed how awesome this is on the inside. I mean I knew it was neat but this is ridiculous! (in the good way) That is by far the best, neatest, off the hook wiring I've ever seen! I read Jimi's comment on the input jack and when I went back and looked at the pic, I thought to myself, "he forgot to wire it up the jacks!". Did a double take to finally see they really are wired up. THEN. Then I looked at the X-wing switch wiring. Holy Crap... There is nothing more to say, move along, I'm done now.
Absolutely ridiculous! I will study this to see how wiring should be done. Fantastic.
Beautiful pedal! Everything about it.

This is nice to hear, as I have ordered a fair length of it (the multicolor 10 conductors version) to give it a try. I doubt I'll come up with something comparable to your work though ;D
As for the finish, I'd say PPP's Copper Translucent.

This is very VERY clean !!!
I don't usually like ribbon wires but you've done perfectly !!!
Stunning both inside and outside! I actually like your design and finish better than the original gold horsie klon, and that already looked VERY nice ;)
AWESOME build pickdropper ;D
I always cringe when I see exposed LED leads like that though (especially if there is a battery floating around in there :o)

If I add a battery (unlikely) then I will definitely have to protect the LED leads.
If there isn't a battery, they are safe. The hole is so tight that it would be difficult to get the LED out without destroying it. The LED leads are so short they can't touch the chassis.
There is somewhat of a method to my madness. I like wiring the LEDs like that because I can wrap the ribbon wire around the short, folded LED legs. This is a really good mechanical connection when soldered. The downside, as you observed, is that the connection is more difficult to cover with something like shrink tubing.
Oh Dave............you had to show this....when i thought that my klones where neat inside.....
DESTROY.ERASE.IMPROVE....hahaha
I also hookup most of my LEDs that way..in a snug hole with exposed leads...
Before i was covering them with a goop shot of hot glue....but that stuff is too solid..not enough flexible..
After looking at the gut of some of my EHX pedals..i saw that they where using home/construction silicon....and so i do now. It keep its flexibility...when you apply it and take the tip away it does'nt do tons of fillament....and with a bit of water or spit on the tip of your finger you can make it «die» with the surface of the enclosure interior...wich insure that it will never move from there....

Good album, that.
And bloody good pedal. Insanely clean.

Try silicon RTV then. It is really soft but will insulate. I just don't bother with it because it isn't necessary in my application.

Will do, thanks for the hint ;)
very nice build bro :)
You call that clean wiring? ;) Just kidding dude, I would buy that pedal in a heartbeat, if only to open it up, put it in really nice place in the living room and look at those guts all night! My wife wouldn't let me, though...... And I have no doubts it sounds as righteous as it looks!
