Title: lowrider - clean pot always on full
Post by: davehib on June 22, 2013, 04:21:29 AM
Hi,
I've got my lowrider going, and it sounds awesome!
All the low octaves and the high octaves work really well, but when i turn down the clean pot - hoping for just the octave/s on their own, the clean stays there - loud as ever.
if i turn the octaves and the clean all the way down, the clean still comes through. I've tried replacing the clean pot, but still happens?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, cheers
Dave

To me "it must" be the clean pot that cause the problem. Bad solder or bad pot. But as you say you have replaced it...

Well, good luck, hope you fix it. Even if this post didnt help much... :)

Could be erroneous switch wiring as well, couldn't it? Sending the signal both to the board and the output?

Post a gut shot.

Yea, good thinking, Dane, i didnt see that. Some short somewhere between the in-n-out jacks (and thats where the switch are!). Not necessarily "inside the schematic" where i was looking.

Cheers.
