Title: Sunking clipping options
Post by: gtangas on July 06, 2013, 12:37:34 AM
Boa noite  ;)

I'm upgrading my sunking with two new dpdt switches

One for true bypass or buffer and a another dpdt switch for clipping options
I'm using a on off on dpdt with 1n34a on one side, nothing on middle position and bat41 on the other end

In the middle position the pedal just act like a clean boost.
My question is if I can use the 3poles for getting 3 different voices? And whow?
Can in use the middle (off) position for adding more diodes?

Thx
Sérgio

You could have LEDs hard wired to be always in circuit. They would work for the middle position. With their higher forward voltage drops (1.8 - 2.0 volts), they will be essentially out-of-circuit for either of the other switch positions, based on the diodes you've selected with their lower forward voltage drops.

So if hi understand I can solder 2leds on the middle position and the germ on the others pins

The leds are have to be solder in normal clipping position right? +-/-+
