Title: Zero Point SDX
Post by: wstimson on July 11, 2013, 06:19:21 PM
Finally got my Zero Point Super Deluxe boxed up and working.  This thing is epic.

Taking it down to practice tonight to try it out.  I suspect I need to add a resistor or trimmer to the slam function to slow down the runaway oscillation, but I'm trying it on the 'real' rig before deciding how much it needs.

My second attempt (5 pedals total, but 2 at a time last time and 3 this time) at waterslide decals... I think I'm done with them.  Gonna look into etching.  But this came out alright.  A few water spots, a few wrinkles, but it mostly just adds character.  At least, that's what I tell myself.  :)

The insides... well, I'm just astonished I got all of that stuff in there.  Yay.
A friend was over last night and saw, said he was in the market for a delay.  Checked it out and I may have to cook up another one of these soon.  :)

Photos!

I thought it was an etch at first too.
Anyway, it looks good to me!

Great build!  You complain about decals, but you made this one look like an etch.  I need to try that.

Yeah, 'industrial' is absolutely the look I was going for.  Awesome!

Sorry friends... the recorder at practice was acting up and I'm leaving on vacation tomorrow morning.
So no clip for now.  I'll get one done when I get back in a couple weeks.  :)

Really beautiful.
What do you say about sharing your decal in PDF? PM or public.
I will build this monster soon.

Sure!  If you (or anyone else) wants the decal, just PM your email address and I'll send it you.
I'd post it here, but it's way too large of a file.  :)

Not sure how it got so large...
All I really did was add labels and rounded rectangles to Brian's drilling template.  :)

Love the decal. I think you're right when you said the slight imperfections add character. Nice build.

Ah, I figured out the issue. photoshop saves to pdf with all of the separate layers in tact.
So flattening it first makes it quite postable.  :)

Here you are. Anyone who wants to use it, change it, whatever... doesn't bother me. :)

Great work.  ;D Can you please share the file in actual size? I hope you used a 1590BB? the present file is too large a size to be used directly on a 1590BB. Thanks.

Yes, I used a 1590BB.
The file properties say it is (very close to) the same dimensions as one.  Are you printing it at 300dpi and 100%?
I didn't resize it at all from when I used it, I just flattened the layers so it was small enough to upload.

No worries.  Glad you got it to work.   ;D
Don't forget to post a photo when you're done.  :)
