Post by: ch1naski on July 13, 2013, 03:58:48 PM
I cant, for the life of me, figure out how to set the stop on this damn switch so that it give four throws instead of 12. do i need to open it up?

I'm a moron. I'm sure it's right there in front of my face and obvious, but i cant figure it out.

I'm not sure which switch you have, but there are some that come with a little ring with a tab sticking out of it. That tab then sits in a slot in the switch that limits the throws. I can't say for certain that yours has one, because some of them don't.

Got a link or picture?

Okay, see, you've got your little washer with a tab right there on the table.

Take off the teeth washer (the one on the switch), and look at the base where the threaded part ends. You should see some holes with some numbers. make sure your switch is all the way counter clockwise, then put the washer on with the tab down into the hole for the number of options you want to be able to switch (i.e. 4).

Keep that washer with the tab on there. It's what you need to keep the switch from rotating through all 12 options.
