Title: Swapping pots over
Post by: stevie1556 on August 05, 2013, 12:48:40 AM
I've near enough built a Autobahn today, but I'm missing a C1M pot. I've got a A1M and B1M pot, and wondering if I can use them. However, I know the C taper pots are reverse, so I was wondering if I connected a A or B taper pot backwards would it have any impact on the circuit? And would it work in the same way as a C taper pot if wired backwards.

After hearing the Autobahn clips I really want to get it working ASAP.

you can wire an audio taper pot backwards to approximate a reverse audio, although the control will be reversed.

I say use it and if you don't  feel good about it, order one while you're playing with it.

Cheers for the replies!

I've used a A1M pot for it, but the board doesn't fit in the enclosure now because I've put the jacks too high up the box. Gonna get everything else wired up and just text it before I do another box.

This is on top of me already not cutting the board small enough to fit in the enclosure!
