Title: Quick Capacitor Question
Post by: Guybrush on August 24, 2013, 07:13:58 PM
Please can someone tell me what value this Wima cap is? Better still please can someone tell me how to decipher Wima 's numbering so I can work it out myself?

Also what I do is go to tayda and entered 68n or the number on the cap and it will give you a translation of what it is. OR you can just google it.

WIMA (and EPCOS) caps usually just give you the value. In this case the 0.068 (or 0,068) is the value in microfarads so it's 68nF.

For caps that use the standard codes, this site is useful http://www.electronics2000.co.uk/calc/capacitor-code-calculator.php?capcode=223&capacitance=220n&tolerance=+/-+5%25&tolerancecode=J (http://www.electronics2000.co.uk/calc/capacitor-code-calculator.php?capcode=223&capacitance=220n&tolerance=+/-+5%25&tolerancecode=J).
