Title: "Explicitly original" values for TS?
Post by: Vallhagen on August 25, 2013, 09:33:52 AM
Hi. I am about to box up Another TS, on the madbean grean bean pcb. This time i want to build it exactly as the original TS808. "Just because"... or "why not". No mods or variations. I was nerdy enuff to even get me some 51k resistors and tantalum caps, etc.

...but, the info i can find "everywhere" is a bit ambiguous. At least one question remains un-explicitly replied: Which of the DRIVE and VOL pots are lin, and which are log?

Cheers.

According to R. G. Keen, the drive pot is log, the level pot is lin.

He shows a 100KB level control in the schematic, but in the text he says: The volume control is fairly standatd, a 100K audio control ...

But most schematics seem to agree on a A500K drive and B100K level.

Hehe... this is actually what i mean... double information.

The grean bean doc saiz 100kA for volume/level. OD2 from BYOC saiz 100kB...

Too me it "feels most right" to take a lin pot for gain, and log for level, but again... this time im interested to do it "the original way".

Thanx for replies!
