Title: Honeydripper Volume Adjustment
Post by: das234 on September 03, 2013, 05:53:48 PM
My honeydripper has a bit more volume boost than I'd like.  I suppose that's typical, but can anyone tell me how I'd go about backing it off a bit if I want less boost when I engage it?

Yeah, that's an easy fix...

The first thing listed under the "recommended mods" part of the build doc is changing R5 from 180k to 220k or 330k... I assume you did this?  I actually found that even 220k got above unity so I ended up using 200k (actually I used a 180k and a 22k in series, so I guess 202k) after some experimentation.

So I'd socket or just mess around with R5.  180k is 'stock' and is typically a bit under unity.
Just work with values between 180k and whatever you have in there now until you find something that works for your setup.

Awesome.  R5.  Got it.  Thanks.
