Title: LED Placement
Post by: Gilmourisgod on October 09, 2013, 10:22:04 PM
The standard madbean wiring diagrams show a current limiting resister between PCB and led, is that resistor not already incorporated onto the PCB.? Id like to locate the led towards the center of the box on my Harbinger, not right above the led solder pads.

Not normally, no. Some pcbs do have it though if there is a place for an LED or + leg on the led. Just because there is a place for an LED doesn't mean you have to wire it there, you can use hookup wire and put it anywhere you want.    :P

The Harbinger board has a set of pads for a rate  LED on the board between C24 and C25 , one pad square positive. The build instructions say to jumper it if you don't want the rate led. Would this indicate the presence of a CLR on the board.?
