I had a pair of spare pups and another idea for a guitar for WezV to whittle for me.
It's a mahogany bodied super Strat, maple neck (C to a V), rosewood board. Pigtail wraparound bridge, TonePros pegs, Planet Waves locking tuners, BKP Miracle Man bridge and Cold Sweat neck. They're coil splittable on a push-pull tone pot. The idea was a simple, lightish (8.5lbs in the end) super Strat. As the lump of mahogany ended up being heavier than expected it got thinner and thinner, the control cavity got bigger and it ended up with a carved top ;)
It's resonant as hell, sounds awesome unplugged. Plays really well. Love it!.
However it's hard to photograph, so here's a couple of mine and one of Wez's showing the carve better:

Love that. I'd rock it if I owned it.

Looks great! The thread title suggests an essential question: what is the scale length on this one?
Tis long :) Which answers the question of what it is really.
Really really cool guitar.
Just looks 'right'.
Love it!
Sweet looking guitar! Reminds me of my old black satin trans fat strat, but with no trem.
