I want to try this little project, the mangle fuzz based on the fuse face, in the materials list it says Q1 and Q2 transistors, does anyone know in detail which ones i should be getting?
If it's your first Fuzz Face, I would stick to something fairly cheap like a pair of 3AX31C's or 2N404s from SmallBear. We could literally fill pages with personal opinion about what sounds best in that circuit, but you can't go wrong with the "All-American" or "SINO" sets from SBE. If you're not in the US, some of our international members can probably steer you in the right direction with regard to a supplier.
