Title: New Guitar Day
Post by: Guybrush on November 01, 2013, 12:59:23 PM
Hi all

I know this isn't pedal related but I'm so happy and I just needed to vent!

I've just purchased my first vintage guitar and I love it!  It's a Harmony H75. I've been after one for years and finally found one that I could afford on ebay.co.uk

Unfortunately the guitar was in a sorry state with lots of serious issues that weren't mentioned in the listing (warped neck, missing machine head, broken pots, and pickup)  :'(

Lucky for me I was put in contact with a fantastic repairs man who did a great job in sorting it out and its almost like new now. If there's anyone else on here from the south of the UK looking for someone to give their guitar a little TLC let me know and I'll pass on the guys number. He's a magician!

When my bank balance recovers I'm going to put a Bigsby on it but it'll be a while before I can afford that!

Cheers, Martin.

Congratulations.  It's a real looker! My first guitar was a Harmony (strat copy).  This one's got a lot more character than mine did though;)

Ha course you can!

Guitar cost me £390 and I had to spend £175 on repairs. Not great but I've been after this guitar for years so I'm ok with it.

Can't wait to play it!

That finish is really interesting, especially near the bottom where it bursts.  Very cool!
